The Narrator is the Narrator from Destroy All Humans!.

Overview[]

The Narrator acts similar to that of a 1950's news broadcaster and in his appearance, he dresses in a tuxedo, has white hair, and has a hammy way of speaking. He is only seen in the intro and the outro, both times acknowledging the audience making brief speeches, but foreshadows the game's events.

Quotes[]

  • "Hello friends. Have you ever gazed up at the night sky and wondered of the possibilites of life on other planets? What marvelous beings exist out there, extending their hands in friendship, awaiting the moment when we humans take our first tentative steps into space. What tales will be told on that glorious day when we are first contacted from our brethren from beyond the stars?" (first lines)
  • "And so, the world breathes a sigh of relief. The threat of an alien invasion proved a false alarm. As for those who scan the skies for a real visit from outer space, they maybe in for a very long wait. Perhaps the lesson is; that we should turn our gaze inward. Remember that mankind's worst enemy is often, himself." (second and last lines)

Trivia[]

  • He is the first character to appear and speak in the series.
  • He is a spoof of The Narrator from Plan 9 From Outer Space.
    • This is further enforced in the intro and outro animatics, where footage of him is simply stock footage from the Narrator from Plan 9 From Outer Space, only his voice being replaced over with Bill Farmer.
  • In the original Destroy All Humans! 2 animatic and Happy Mix intro, it appears that he was likely meant to return in Destroy All Humans! 2 originally as an unseen narrator (or possibly a new narrator). However the idea of a narrator was scrapped and replaced with the KGB simply documenting/recapping the events of the first game instead.
