A Furotech Cell
Furotech Cells are small black and green, blinking Furon devices found around invasion sites in Destroy All Humans! 2 and Reprobed. Serving as a form of currency, replacing the primary use of Furon DNA.
Overview[]
Furotech cells are usually hidden, prompting Crypto to find them. However, they are also given as rewards for completing missions. After finding a number of Alien Artifacts, Crypto is given a Furotech Cell detector, which highlights furotech cells as blinking green dots on the minimap. Furotech cells are used for upgrading weapons, shields, and Crypto's jetpack. They replace the use of Furon DNA in Destroy All Humans! as currency. It is unknown why there are furotech cells scattered across Earth and the Moon or who sent them there. Although it can be presumed that they fell when the Mothership was destroyed.
Oddly when collected in the overworld certain furotech cells have different values being 1, 3, and 5. Currently it is unknown if this will carry over in Reprobed.

Furotech cells as well as Furotech Reactors are also rewarded for completing optional objectives.
